Courier Service eFMX Joins World Vision Malaysia’s Food Delivery Charity CampaignPublished by
World Vision Malaysia and eFMX teamed up with several Malaysian artistes to raise the voice of the underprivileged this December. Over the past decade, the number of people who went hungry around the world has been increasing. According to the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the number of hungry people reached 811 million in 2020.
The local artistes who were part of the #FoodFullofHeart campaign are Phoebe Yap, Daniel Cheah, Min Wong and Wayne Phoo. Through the campaign, the artistes would like to raise public awareness towards the global hunger issue and encourage people to give a helping hand to those who are in need.
The campaign ran from 3 December to 13 December 2021, and the artistes prepared 41 meals in total to raise funds for children and communities in need. The menu included: Sandwiches, Lovely Three-In-One Combo (rice noodles, egg tarts and Swiss rolls), Grandma's Mustard Green Rice With Sides, Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice, and Banana Loaf Cake.
The public donated through the World Vision Malaysia website. Donations will be directed to the 30-Hour Famine Fund, which will help children and families in need (locally and abroad) cope with the food challenges they face.
