A former high ranking Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) officer has lodged a report with the commission against Datuk Seri Najib Razak over alleged wrongdoings.

Former MACC director (intelligence) Datuk Abdul Razak Idris claimed that the former Prime Minister, with the help of other civil servants had prevented the investigation into several cases.

"Based on the information I received, Datuk Seri Najib had used his position to stop the investigations of the Retirement Fund Incorporated (KWAP) and 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

"I am making this report so investigations on corruption cases, money laundering and such involving KWAP and 1MDB money can be reopened or continued," he said when contacted, today.

Abdul Razak lodged his report at the SPRM Kuala Lumpur office along Jalan Cochrane, here, at about 9.30am.

Also raised in his report are matters relating to assets belonging to Najib and his family.
